Bibliography
Red List Bibliography
Amendment
The listing of the African Savana Elephant was petitioned in November 2021 and based on the ruling by the IUCN Standards and Petitions Committee, this amended assessments has been created to remove subcriterion A2a from the assessment and some new text has added to the Rationale to indicate that a Vulnerable listing is a plausible outcome given the uncertainties in the data (see the Red List Petitions page on the Red List website for further details on the ruling). The assessment was previously amended so that Burkina Faso could be added to the list of Countries of Occurrence and the supporting reference for the occurrence added to the Bibliography. Also a reference cited in the Trade and Use section of the assessment was deleted and removed from the Bibliography. In addition an errata version of the Supplementary Material was attached; an error in Figure 1 was corrected and some additional text about the data in Tables 2 and 3 was added.
