Partula salifana was endemic to Guam, where it was restricted to Mt. Alifana on Guam. It was last found alive on the island in 1946. The predatory Rosy Wolfsnail (Euglandina rosea) was introduced in 1957 and partulid populations declined rapidly. A second predator, the New Guinea Flatworm (Platydemus manokwari), was introduced in 1978. Searches for the Mt. Alifana snail in the 1980s failed to locate any live animals. Shells were found in 1989, indicating that a population may have survived until the early 1980s. It is now Extinct.
